The purpose of this policy is to define the conditions and process by which school attendance area adjustments will be developed and adopted.
Policy 6020 School Planning/School Construction Programs
The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for the administration of the school planning and the school construction programs in the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS).
Policy 6030 Procurement of Architectural and Construction Management Services
The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for the procurement of architectural and construction management services needed for the school construction program.
Policy 6050 Naming and Renaming of Schools
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines and standards for the school naming and renaming process.
Policy 6060 Community Improvements to School Sites or School Facilities
The Board of Education appreciates the willingness and desire of community individuals and groups to collaborate with the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) to improve school system sites and/or facilities. The Board will consider improvement to school system facilities proposals that are consistent with the mission and vision of the HCPSS.
Policy 6070 Discontinuation of School Use
The purpose of this policy is to direct the process of discontinuing school use when there is no plan to replace the school with another facility.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the HCPSS is an environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable organization.
